Thomas Lewellyn Owen Freeth was the first child of James Freeth & Mary Eliza Owen born December 21st, 1866 at West Bromwich & christened February 3rd, 1867 at West Bromwich Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Thomas was still at home at 289 High St, West Bromwich in 1881 with his parents, 3 brothers & 2 sisters.
Thomas was assisting his father in his grocery business at 289 High St in 1891. There were 4 brothers & 1 sister at home.
In 1901 Thomas was still living at home with his widowed father & brother Harold & sister Florence. Thomas was still working in the grocery shop.
Thomas was still helping his father in the grocery business in 1911 at the same address. Also at home were Harold, a carpenter & Florence, housekeeper.
The 1939 register shows Thomas, now a retired grocer, living at 54 Beeches Rd, West Bromwich. With him was his brother Harold, a carpenter with his own account.
Thomas died on February 2nd, 1941 at the Sandwell Nursing Home, West Bromwich. He had been living at Eaton House, 54 Beeches Rd, West Bromwich. Administration (with will) was granted at Birmingham on May 21st , 1941 to brother William Herbert Freeth, retired grocer, & brother Harold Leopold Marsh Freeth, wheelwright. His effects amounted to £11,174.18s.10d. The family grocery business must have done well!
